Super Cool Idea....

But so not my idea :) A month ago I went to stamp night with my SU! Demo, Tammy, and she shared a whole slug of cards she received at convention. One of the most popular techniques I saw was this one...and I must say it was one of those "uh-duh" moments.
Shapes cut and added to cardstock and then embossed, adds another layer of dimension.
And for this one....an extra little twist, the circles were circle punched from paint swatches found at our local Lowe's, Menards and anywhere else I could find them. Makes getting coordinating colors brainless! I like brainless!!

We've been hanging out too much! I just made up a bunch of these as well, but I used scraps of various colors for the dots (more like the example), and varied the embossing folder.

But I really like the color coordinates you selected, and even better that they're paint swatches! GREAT idea!

Great card! I've seen alot of this technique in "blog world" but yours is one of the few I think is perfect for it. Terrific color combo and layout!
