NN Inky Paws Challenge #16 Christmas

As promised, I have one last Holiday Hounds Christmas card to share with you.
I will say that using the same stamp set on 8 different cards all at one time made me feel more creative!! Kept me focused!
If you click on the picture you will head over to Newton's Nook Blog post that features the challenge cards.
This time, I decided to make my very FIRST shaker card!
I used my Spellbinders to make the shaker window and then added foam tape to the back.
I filled my little shaker window with beads and sequins....to be honest, I didn't want to use too many sequins. I have the fear that so many other crafter's have..."what if I run out and need one in the middle of the night"...so I have more beads in there.

I placed a layer of sparkly icicle at the bottom of the window and attached a sparkly snowflake and gold floral die cut to the top, tying it off with a little bit of red scrapper's floss.

I stamped the sentiment in brick red ink onto a strip of vellum and attached it to the card front.
I was not so sure about this card, but it has grown on me and it was my friend's favorite out of the 8 that I made.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!
Until next time make sure you Stamp S'More!

Newton's Nook #16 Christmas

Obsession?? No not me never!! LOL, those who know me well, know that is not exactly true.
However, in my defensive when it comes to the Holiday Hound set, I do have a co-worker that loves the little weiner dog and she requested some hand made Christmas cards to send to friends and family.Lucky for my blog readers, I made them all different :).
I'm entering this little guy (or gal) into the inky paws Christmas Challenge. Click on the picture to head over to the gallery.
The blue and white piece was cut first with my Lil'Inkers stitched die. I then cut the snow drifts using my Lawn Fawn stitched border dies and layered them.
The Christmas trees are a little make shift---triangles from PTI.
The music stamped on the background was done in Wild Wasabi and the stamp is from Hero Arts. I added a few little sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and some green and white twine from The Twinery for accent.

I'll be back with what will most likely be my last Holiday Hounds card tomorrow. Then I'm headed to snowmen for a while :)
Have a fabulous day!

Curtain Call: Clearly Christmas: Take 2

I promised another card for the Clearly Christmas Challenge from the Curtain Call and here it is....Surprise, Surprise...it's a Holiday Hound from Newton's Nook!

I again used the chevron panel from Reverse Confetti, alternating green and blue stripes. I also inset a glittery snowflake.

I used Copics to color the hound and my Lawn Fawn stitches border dies to make the blue and green background panel. I had to play around a tad with the embossing folder from SU! to get all those snowflakes in there but I managed!!

I hope you have enjoyed the posts for this challenge.
I will be back with another set of challenge cards.

Thank you for stopping by my blog!

Curtain Call: Clearly Christmas

I know this is going to be very hard to believe but...it's true, I only have about 3 stamp sets that are Christmas related {{GASP!!}}.
I am a fussy stamp shopper when it comes to Christmas stamps. I want my stamp sets to be able to be used for more than one time of the year, more than one occasion. Picky, I know!
What that means is that my blog viewers then see the same set used ALOT...as a matter of fact some of you are probably wondering if I own any other stamps besides these wonderful weiner dogs.
But they are OH. So. CUTE.
I decided to play along with the Curtain Call Challenge and have 2 entries to share. One on this post and one on another coming shortly!

This first card makes me pretty proud of my coloring!! I was just so pleased to get the brown and black to blend without it turning into an all black dog.
The stamped dog and sentiment are from the Holiday Hounds set from Newton's Nook.

The chevron panel is from Reverse Confetti...I love the versatility of this and I am sure I will be purchasing more of these little guys in the future.
I cut the snowflake with an MFT die out of silver glitter paper and inset it into the chevron panel.
Not only is this cool but you should see the left over snowflakes...I'm sure they will appear on another project.
The background has little versamarked Heidi Swapp stamp on it and the loopy pieces are a die from PTI.  Remember as a kid you were made fun of for "cross-dressing"?? This card makes me feel like I am wearing Calvin Klein mixed with Levi's!! A little bit of everything, LOL!!

Off to start up the next post to get the next card entered into the challenge!!

Paws & Bling

I have been looking at the stamps from Newton's Nook for some time now! Such cute, cute images.
They recently released a set with wiener dogs  and I knew I had to take the plunge!!

I decided to participate in the Inky Paws challenge and add a little sparkle.
Who does't love sparkle and bling???
I colored this fella with my copic markers and cut him out (yep with the scissors!).

I did not have white glitter paper, so I did it the old fashion way...big glue pen, white cardstock and glitter. I used my Lawn Fawn landscape dies to cut the snow drifts.
I added some Pretty Pink Posh and Doodlebug sequins for a little extra bling-bling. It's kinda hard to see but the twine (The Twinery) has shiny purple strands. I do believe my little fella is all blinged out!

Off to make another challenge card...whoop, whoop, it's gunna be 2 in one day!
Thanks for stopping by my blog, have a wonderful day!
