Happy Day

Hello Again! I am back to share another card using the new
Look On The Brightside Kit from Erin Lee Creative.
Today's card features the rainbow die.
I started by creating the card base from yellow cardstock. Next, I used the Scor Buddy to emboss lines on a white panel. I then stitched up the side of that panel with my sewing machine.
I cut the rainbow from a watercolored piece that I made using distress inks.
I decided to spread out the layers of the rainbow over the cardfront. It looked a bit empty in between those layers so I added the little bit of sparkly jewels from Honey Bee Stamps.
Last, I stamped Happy Day in yellow (also from the new kit) and added it to the bottom of the cardfront.
Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Until next time, happy stamping!

Erin Lee Creative New Release Blog Hop

Welcome to the ELC Release Blog Hop!!! Today is the big day---- the newest release over at Erin Lee Creative is available and ready for you to shop, shop, shop!
I chose this framed watercolor piece for my blog hop project today. A lot of the products in today's release remind me our great state of Kansas. I used the Sunflower background stamp, Arches watercolor paper and watercolors to create this vibrant piece.
I stamped the image onto the watercolor paper with Amalgam Ink then started the watercoloring process.
The first 3-4 layers are all watercolor, making sure to let the colors dry before adding the next layer.
Once all the layers of watercolor were added I went back and added color in the nooks and crannies along with a few details with fine Sharpie markers.
I just could not bring myself to cut it into a card. So this I framed it! Besides photos, this is my first ever framed piece of art that I have created.
I simply trimmed up the edges and found a couple of 8 x 8 frames from Hobby Lobby.
The watercolor sunflower piece was layered on top of a piece of water cardstock to create the mat.

Here is a photo of all the new release products that are available.

Huge Hugs

Anyone need a HUGE Hug  from someone you haven't seen in awhile?
I know I have a few friends I wish I could see and hug!
This is my last card featuring the technique used in this video by Jennifer McGuire.

On this one I used this wonderful Herringbone background stamp from Concord and 9th. Love that stamp!! The die is from My Favorite Things.
I dry embossed the paper before die cutting with the Broken Chevron Stencil from Altenew.

Hope you have a wonderful day! Thanks for stopping by!

Hello!!! Today, I am bringing you a groovy birthday greeting.
The background stamp is from Erin Lee Creative. I used the technique featured here in Jennifer McGuire's video to create his shimmery watercolor effect.
I topped it with a Happy Birthday die cut from Simon Says Stay, CZ Designs.

Happy Mail

I received a new box of crayola markers and a coloring book the other day. Of course, my first thought was "WATERCOLORS", whoop, whoop!
So I gave them a whirl with this cute little Penny Black stamp.
I'm impressed with the pretty colors they produced, nice and rainbow-ie.
Hope you have a colorful day.
