Erin Lee Creative January Release

 Hello Friends!

It's that time! Time for a new release from Erin Lee Creative.

My first card for you today features the new Star dies. 

I started with a red cardstock panel and stenciled the Houndstooth Stencil with black ink. 

I cut the panel down and placed it on a black card front. I then added the new stars cut from Holographic Cardstock. I cut the Shine die as well from the Holographic Cardstock and added it to the card front.

My second card today features the new Leaf stencil

I first used the stencil on a pool colored piece of cardstock. I used shades of blue and green when stenciling. I then cleaned the stencil, turned it and applied Duo Transfer Gel and allowed it to dry over night. I then applied gold foil with a laminator. 

I added the new Stay Golden Die cut out of Holographic Cardstock on a piece of vellum.

ELC Coffee Lover's Blog Hop

 Hello Friend!

Today I am excited to be part of the creative team sharing some AWESOME inspiration with you using the new Coffee Lover's Kit from Erin Lee Creative. This kit has some unique and fun creative things to play with! So fun! Let's get started!

My first card uses the super cool Cup Heart Die that is an addition to the kit. 

I cut it out of Holgraphic cardstock from ELC. 

The background features the Magenta Mirrored Cardstock that I dry embossed using the                     Fun House Squares Stencil.

The sentiment is from the 6x8 stamp set in the kit and is embossed with white embossing powder on a deep grey cardstock.

The shine and colors on this card can not be beat!

 I love, love, love the Holographic Cardstocks from Erin Lee Creative! 

My second card features the cute little coffee cup from the 6x8 set in the kit along with one of the sentiments. 

I stamped, water colored and die cut the cups. 

The background features the Hex Stencil (another of my favs). I used a a blue distress oxide on the light green cardstock to make the background.

Bubble Wrap Birthday

Hello Blog Friends. I have a Hap, Hap, Happy Birthday card to share with you today!

This one features a slew of products from different companies. I just love to mix and match the goods.

The background consists of MFT Jumbled Numbers stamped in grey ink. 

From there, I stenciled Altenew's Bubble Wrap Stencil, which is one of my all time favorite stencils. I used distress ink for the stenciling. 

The  Happy Birthday die cut is from CZ Designs at Simon Says Stamp. And finally I added a sentiment strip from Taylored Expressions.

You Are Too Kind

Hello, Hello! 

Happy to be sharing this fun card with you today. So many different AWESOME goodies use don it.

The background stencil is from Altenew. I decided that I need to embrace my distress oxides and this was a great stencil and color combo to start with. 

I added a little stitchy, stitchy with the sewing machine for texture and then I layered on the Thank You Die from CZ Design at Simon Says Stamp. 

The final step was to add the popped up sentiment from Concord and 9th over the thank you die cut.

Today's card reminds me of bubbles....lots and lots of bubbles.

I have had this stencil hanging around for awhile and finally decided to put it to use. 

The colors just make me calm and happy...and who doesn't need to hear from someone else, every once in a while that they are great??

Spring Has Sprung!

Happy Tuesday! It's going to be a pretty day in Kansas...I am going to be inside for most of it {super sad face}. This little card makes me think of the joy in hearing the sounds of spring first thing in the morning as I wake up.

The birds are certainly excited that Spring has sprung!

Hello Deer

I have adored the deer dies for a very long time. I am not sure what has taken me so long to purchase a deer die, after all, anything the hubs would like should be an immediate purchase. 

I found this Deer Die at Scrapbooks Etc...in Topeka, Ks while I was there a few weeks ago. 

I have been going there for years and no matter how long between visits, they remember me. I LOVE that place!

The die is an Amy Designs Die, which was new to me...but sometimes I am a little late to the party. I also used the Patterned Triangles stamp from MFT and the sentiment is from a Hero Arts set.

Change of Scenery...

I thought it might be time for a little change of scenery here on the blog. Seems as though I have forgot all about this blogging thing since right before Christmas. Time flies!!

This Valentine card was made with a PTI die and stamp set. 

I added a little bling and twine for texture and interest.

Curtain Call Challenge

I saw the Boho Brights Curtain Call Challenge and decided to play along as it would require me to work outside of my box. I figured it would make me hunt up a color combo that I have not used before and that it did!!

Rich Razzleberry, Lucky Limeade and Sunshine Yellow...the only frequently used color in that batch is the Lucky Limeade.

I also had the opportunity to eat a little crow here. Just like sequins...I said I would never ever get into this "gold" thing that is happening right now...Oh I certainly ate my words on that!

Not only did I eat my words but I now think I need every word die made so I can cut them all out in gold!! I used gold poster board from Hobby Lobby. 

And the die word...SERIOUSLY.... One of my favorite words of ALL time! The die and You Rock stamp are from Lil' Inker's Designs. I handed my husband my Christmas list with the Lil' Inkers website and ALL of the sticth mat dies. Told him I would be happy with all my Christmas from all family being Lil' Inkers...I hope it meant it when he said OK.  

For the inked piece, I blended the ink on white cardstock and then placed a stencil over the top. I then took a baby wipe and dabbed over the stencil, this pulled ink off the cardstock, creating an awesome piece. The background stamp on the card base is from Heidi Swapp.

Blend, Blend, Blend

I must admit, the other day I was looking at all the cards that I have made recently...in hopes of finding something I have colored...and well, it seems I REALLY like this ink blending thing. I had no idea how many cards a recently have created that I have used this technique!

You all will be seeing blending, blending and more blending...and stencils!

This is a stencil from Heidi I love her stencils!

The ink is all SU! and the sentiment is from PTI.

I used Martha Stewart glitter on the pretty little star.

There have been a lot of cool things happening here in Kansas now that it is fall.

I hope to post pictures from The Barn Sale, Stamp Away Weekend and Mentor Craft Day in the next few days. For now, time for a drive to Emporia for work!

Happy Friday! The weekend is here, YIPPEEE!

I sat down last night to post my Thursday card and well...my OCD, Sheldon Cooper tendencies kicked in and I ended up organizing my photos. I did this for so long, my computer ran out of juice...so here is my Thursday card today!

I LOVE how this card turned out...so did others as it left my "sell basket" very quickly after it arrived!

I used a Memory Box stencil for the card front. The ink is Tangerine Tango and Coastal Cabana from SU! along with Brilliance Moonlight White.  I blended and blended and blended and had some very inky fingers by the time it was all over...but it was well worth it!

Below I tried to catch the shimmer of the Moonlight White...it is just stunning in person.

I stitched the edges, added a sentiment from PTI on vellum and a Paper studio wooden button to finish off. Every card should have a little chevron love!

 This weekend is our 4th Annual Fall Crafting day at church, I host one in the Fall and one in the Winter and it has really evolved over time. This time we are going to attempt weaving plastic mats from Wal-Mart sacks for the homeless and fidget blankets for elderly and surgical patients. We have a group coming from Great Bend to do some awesome projects with us and to cook a yummy Cajun meal. Hopefully, I will have some pictures to share of all the creations we complete and good times.

Here We Go!!!

Off she has gone...my beautiful young daughter has headed off to college and is going to conquer the world!!

Last week was tough on this momma!! I look back and I am so very thankful that I stopped focusing on papercrafting when I did! It allowed me the time to be with and know my girl, to watch her grow into the beautiful young woman that she is today. Funny, looking back the things that happened that seemed to pull me away from constantly creating were God's way of saying "I have more important things in store for you".

So, I am back to creating and blog posting...maybe someday I'll catch another design gig, LOL!!!

As I made my girl her first piece of mail last night, I realized that I now feel a new purpose in creating. 

With that I am committing to posting at least once a week on Thursday's. 

I'm calling it "Thinking of You Thursday". Each week Ill make a card to send to my girl and on Thursday Ill post the most recent mailing! This should get me started on the whole blogging track again!

But for now (Monday) here is a little something I whipped up recently.

Lots going on here...

 First, I used a stencil and glossy cardstock to make the background. Its so yummy!

I added the little handmade banner (yup no die for that one...its amazing what a gal can do with a centering ruler and sharp small scissors!!) Added a little stitching with my sewing machine.  The leaf die was from SU.

The small flower dies are from PTI along with the congrats die. It is such a pretty card!

My favorite of this week!!!

Well, the week is over and I must quickly get my creations posted and linked ...fast!!

This is by far my favorite card of the week!! Inspired from Jennifer McGuire's bonus video.

Both the butterfly stencil and the patterned stencil are Heidi Swapp products. 

I used my Hero Arts Inks on this project...I so LOVE them!! 

Below is a close up. I die cut the "birthday piece" 4 times and glued each one together. I covered it with black liquid pearls for a different effect.

The "happy" along with the "birthday" are from PTI.

Stencils....

It was about 10:30 pm Friday night and I had just made the 3.5 hour drive from Salina to Oklahoma City. 

I had visited with my dad a bit and we had said our good nights....then I opened my phone and found a ton of gorgeous cards using stencils. Not wanting to miss out on anything great, I signed up for the Online Card Class, Stenciled.

I made a quick trip to Michael's in Wichita on my way home Sunday...with my 25% off my entire purchase coupon (score!!), and back home to start playing.

I do think I like this stencil thing! Stencils of today are so much different than the stencils I purchased 10 years ago when I started scrapbooking! So much cooler!

Now that I have invested a little into Heidi Swapp's next paycheck....here was the first project that I made for one of the Day 1 techniques. Ohhhh, I love this technique!! I'm pretty sure it will be used A-LOT in the future.
